Description

Implementation of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) reference style. Sources are sorted based on their occurrence in the text.

The implementation is based on the BibTeX style for LNCS (splncs.bst)

Note: To use the subtypes (e.g. Thesis), enter the data using the base type (e.g. Report) and set the Type field of the source to the value of the subtype (e.g. Thesis).

Remarks

• LNCS does not provide formatting guidelines for any type of electronic content. Hence, the formatting rules provided in here are the authors own preference.
• For detailed installation instructions see here.
• When using the templates provided by LNCS, the bibliography might not be formatted nicely by default. This is because, the "Bibliographyé style inherits from the "Normal" style to which LNCS added indentation. To solve this problem, press SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+S to get to the style pane. Once your bibliography is added, you will find a style in there called "Bibliography" or a localized variant of that name. Right click it and select "Modify ...". Now click the "Format" button and select "Paragraph...". Under "Indentation", change "Special" to "(none)". Press "Ok" a few times to close all dialogs. Everything should be visible now.
• The LNCS bibliography is created as a two column table. So if you want a wider tab between the number and the text, you can just drag the column border to the right.
